SLPROG was developed to simulate the electromagnetic fields induced in a

heterogeneous conductive layer.

The pictures above show the example of SLPROG application for numerical modeling

of electromagnetic fields induced by an external plane wave with period 1 hour in inhomogeneous model of volcano Etna.

The model consists of sedimentary cover with conductance S and underlying layered

cross-section. Model is excited by plane wave with period 1 hour. Right picture demonstrates behaviour of real part of vertical component of magnetic field. Primary magnetic field is polarized in north-east direction.
